Mike Carey is the founder and co-owner of Seirus Innovations. Carey, a ski master, also invented Cat Tracks which is an over-ski-boot protector that helps to improve traction. Him and his business partner, Joe Edwards started Seirus in the early 1980’s. “We were the first to bring rechargeable heated gloves to market, and we own 19 patents aimed at making your outdoor experience warm and comfortable”. There are only a few black owned outdoor clothing brands, Seirus Innovations is one of the first to diversify the industry. Designed for your winter weather comfort needs, Seirus sells winter accessories for cool weather and various winter sports.
Albert 1941
Albert 1941 is undoubtedly one of the most dapper menswear brands, established in London 2016. This brand designs handcrafted tuxedos and handcrafted shoes. “We do not compromise on quality” – Albert 1941. It’s a twist on classic style. Not only do they sell tailor made suits but also jackets, shirts, trousers and more.
Daily Paper
Based in Amsterdam, Daily Paper is a fashion and lifestyle brand rooted in African culture, established in 2010 by childhood friends and co-founders Jefferson Osei, Abderrahmane Trabsini, and Hussein Suleiman. What started as a blog amongst friends grew into the business that it is today. They do not miss when it comes to contemporary streetwear. In the beginning they produced only menswear, later bringing in womenswear in 2015. Since then, Daily Paper has taken new heights in the fashion industry working with luxury retail brands like Farfetch and Galeries Lafayette.
