Drake Dedicates ‘Certified Lover Boy’ To Slain Instagram Influencer Mercedes Morr

The boy is back!

Drake’s highly anticipated album “Certified Lover Boy” (CLB) is finally here. The Canadian rapper first teased the album release last October via Twitter.

Just shy of a month after the announcement, the OVO rapper declared the album would be delayed due to knee surgery. Now, the time for Drake fans near and far to hear the new album has finally come — with a heartfelt tribute.

The “God’s Plan” rapper revealed that “Certified Lover Boy” is dedicated to the late Nadia Ntuli and Mercedes Morr.

“A combination of toxic masculinity and acceptance of [the] truth which is inevitably heartbreaking. Executive produced by me, Noah ‘40’ Shebib, Oliver El-Khatib, and Noel Cadastre. Dedicated to Nadia Ntuli and Mercedes Morr. RIP 💖 —Drake,” read the footnote on the album penned by the rapper himself.

Morr, an Instagram influencer, was found dead in her Texas apartment on Tuesday following a murder-suicide. Ntuli was a model and friend of Drake’s, who passed away earlier this year.

The album includes features from artists such as Future, Lil Baby, JAY-Z, Tems, Lil Durk, and Young Thug. Drake would spend the week before the CLB release revealing his features through a number of Billboards displayed in the hometowns of each artist.
