Cheaper To Keep Her? Dr. Dre Ordered to Pay Ex-Wife MILLIONS, Every Year, In Spousal Support

In this case, it really is cheaper to keep her.

Dr. Dre has been ordered to pay his ex-wife, Nicole Young, over $3.5 million in spousal support each year.

Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, and his ex-wife are still currently engaged in an intense divorce settlement agreement. In a court hearing earlier this week, a judge ruled that Dr. Dre is to pay Nicole nearly $300,000 a month which totals to $3,519,672 a year.

“[Dre] is ordered to pay to the [Nicole] spousal support in the sum of $293,306.00 per month, payable on the first of each month, commencing August 1, 2021,” read the court order. ” [Payments will continue] until the party receiving support remarries or enters into a new domestic partnership, [or] death of either party.”

Outside of the spousal support, Dr. Dre will also have to pay for Nicole’s health insurance, but she will pay all other forms of insurance. He will also have to cover the expenses for their former homes in Malibu and Pacific Palisades.

While an agreement on the spousal support issue has been made, the former couple is still currently battling an overall divorce settlement.

This means that the spousal support payments are temporary and could halt once the divorce settlement is negotiated.

A prenup between Dr. Dre and Nicole is still under review. Nicole signed a prenup prior to their marriage in 1996, but she alleges Dr. Dre tore it up a few years later making it void. Dr. Dre denies those allegations.

The divorce drama between the former couple is still very heated.
