Emma Grede Makes History As First Black Woman To Appear As Guest Host On ‘Shark Tank’

This is history in the making!

For the first time in “Shark Tank” history, a Black woman is a guest host. That woman is Emma Grede, the co-founder of Skims & Good American.

If there’s anyone who knows a thing or two about business, it’s Grede. She’s been making moves as the founding partner of Kim Kardashian’s shapewear line, Skims, and is the CEO and co-founder of Khloé Kardashian’s Good American denim brand.

“I never set out to create a company that was rooted in principles of diversity,” Grede recently shared regarding Good American. “That’s just what happens when a Black woman is at the helm of a company. Decisions are made with this viewpoint that I grew up [with]. The women in my family are super curvy, and I don’t want to count a whole bunch of people out because fashion can’t be bothered or can’t figure it out.”

Grede made her debut on Friday (October 8). Will you be tuning in to witness history being made this season?
