Lizzie attempts to meet friends by forming a gardening group, but ends up being asked to join the Triple C community club when they find out she knows popular Sage. Her three new friends coax her into sending Sylvia, another friend outside the group, a mean-spirited text not knowing how it will affect her. The text causes Sylvia to approach her ex-fling that broke her heart, leading her to almost fall back into a depression until Lizzie apologizes and drops out of the Triple Cs. Charles and Cassie continue to deal with the investigation of Macs death, but Charles disappears on a road trip. He turns back when he realizes it wont make things better, and he cant leave Cassie. Dana goes to Eddie for help when she needs work, and an unhappy Jenn ends up giving her a job at the clinic. When Dana shows up to Tays family birthday dinner, Jenn puts her foot down, causing tension with Eddie about her attitude toward Dana and Nat Ray when she asks Dana to leave.
