“What Wasn’t She Wearing?” Fat Joe Recaps How Ashanti Stole The Show During His 51st Birthday Celebration

Fat Joe’s birthday brought out some of hip hop’s finest, but it was Ashanti’s dress that stole the show.

The singer was one of many in attendance who performed in celebration of the emcee’s 51st birthday. His star-studded event included performances by Busta Rhymes, Jim Jones, Papoose and Remy Ma. He even managed to bring N.O.R.E. out of retirement.

Despite the stellar performances, attendees and fans across social media couldn’t seem get over how stunning Ashanti looked in a revealing blue cut-out mini dress. Even Fat Joe took to the gram to sing praises over the “Foolish” singer’s outfit.

“When Ashanti comes out that car, Je-sus Christmas! I mean, what wasn’t she wearing? Holy shit… She is looking like a motherf****n’ missle out there in them streets,” he said during his recap of the event. “So, Ashanti comes in and I’m like Jesus Christ. What part of the Fat Joe hyping her up is this? In all the years I’ve known her, she’s never looked better.”

Ashanti performed hits like “Foolish” and “Rock Wit You (Aww Baby)” and became a trending topic on Twitter as soon as the videos and images from Fat Joe’s party hit social media.

“She walks in, I automatically rush her to the stage because I thought the f*****’ outfit was gonna fly off her,” continued Fat Joe in the recap. “I thought we had five minutes with Ashanti in there…You know how they rip off the basketball pants? This was one of them dresses.”

As the night went on, hip hop’s finest continued to grace the party. From Swizz Beatz to LL Cool J to Mary J. Blige to Misa Hylton and her son, Justin Combs, it seems like all of New York was in the building. Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. made an appearance along with former Bad Boy rapper turned politician, Shyne Barrow, who recently returned to the U.S. for the first time in over a decade.

“When we do it, we do it big,” Fat Joe chimed in his IG video. “COVID taught us that you can die at any moment. We live every day like it’s our last day. You can’t take your money with you…”

It looks like Fat Joe’s 51st birthday party was the place to be!
