A former relationship is back to haunt Lamar Odom following his breakup with Sabrina Parr.
Liza Morales has joined the current season of VH1’s Basketball Wives and details about her marriage with Odom have made their way back into the spotlight.
During a recent appearance on the “Wendy Williams” show, she shared details of their relationship, the breakup, and how she found out he had moved on with Khloe Kardashian. [What’s the AP style for tv shows? one show has quotations and the other does not]

Odom and Morales share two children, Destiny, 23, and Lamar Odom, Jr., 19.
“The kids are older so it’s not that we need to co-parent,” said Morales. “We don’t need to speak. The kids have their phones, they can speak to him whenever they want.”
The couple met at age 16 and had been on and off again for decades. They tragically lost their son Jayden in 2006 and Morales says the relationship went completely downhill.
Following the split, he shared details of his marriage to Khloe Kardashian in 2009 via text.
“That was very difficult. Around that time I was dealing with depression and then I get a text message from him and the text message was like, ‘I’m getting married,'” Morales continued. ” I knew he was seeing her because they were all over the blogs and all over the websites. And obviously, I was devastated. We were not together but…I deserve more than a text message.”
His public relationship with Khloe Kardashian took a toll on their children.
“They were really young, really impressionable ages. That’s when social media was kicking up and the pressure,” said Morales.”That was a lot on the kids. My daughter was diagnosed with depression early on as a teenager. Just the pressure and constantly being out there and the paparazzi. [It was] a whole new life we didn’t ask for.”
Despite their relationship, she has always supported him in having a relationship with their children.
“I just want him to get right. One in five people deal with mental health issues,” she continued. “I want him to get behind the action, not just the talk. And I want him to have a good relationship with his kids. I’ve always supported that.”
Do you think Odom’s recent heartbreak could be karma for the way things ended with Morales?
