Kanye West Confirms New Album, Donates Thousands Of Tickets To HBCU Students Ahead Of Sold-Out Listening Event

Kanye West is back!

The Chicago native confirmed that a new album is on the way during last night’s NBA finals with a new Apple commercial starring Sha’Carri Richardson.

Scored and edited by Kanye, the spot includes a new song from his upcoming album named after his later mother, Donda. The track is  titled “No Child Left Behind.”

“DONDA” will premiere globally on Thursday, July 22nd during a sold-out listening event at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The event will be live-streamed across the globe by Apple.

Ahead of Thursday’s event, Kanye has also donated thousands of free tickets to HBCU students in Atlanta.

According to Pagesix, the “Jesus Walks” emcee sent a total of  5,000 tickets to faculty, staff and students of Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Morehouse School of Medicine, Spelman College, Morris Brown College, and ITC.

This will be Kanye’s tenth studio album and follows “Jesus Is King,” released in 2019, which won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Album and made history with #1 debuts across the Rap Album, Gospel Album, and Billboard 200 charts.

With “Jesus Is King,” Kanye surpassed the Beatles and tied with Eminem again for the most consecutive #1 album debuts in chart history with nine.

Will Kanye West top the charts again with DONDA?
