LeBron James Becomes The First Professional Basketball Player To Reach Billionaire Status While Still In The League

Whether he’s dominating the court or the big screen, LeBron James has clearly been in his bag. And now, he’s reaping the benefits.

The Lakers superstar is now the first professional basketball player to hit billionaire status while still playing in the league.

According to sources, James has reportedly passed the $1 billion mark by bringing in $700 million in earnings off the court and $330 million in salary as an NBA player.

James continues to show how multi-hyphenated he is, having starred in the recently released “Space Jam: A New Legacy.” The film, also produced by James, beat Marvel’s “Black Widow” at the box office during its opening weekend.

He has also cashed in thanks to multiple sponsorship and endorsement deals, including Nike, Blaze Pizza, and Lobos 1707 Tequila. James also co-owns his very own media entity, SpringHill Company, along with his longtime business partner, Maverick Carter.

It looks like the King James reign is just getting started.
