Megan Thee Stallion can now add “starting a foundation” to her list of accolades.
The Houston rapper spent her birthday (February 15) unveiling the Thomas and Pete Foundation, a nonprofit named after her late parents, Joseph Pete Jr. and Holly Thomas.
Megan Thee Stallion’s foundation aims to provide resources that will positively impact the “women and children, senior citizens, and underserved communities” in the Houston area and around the world, specifically focusing on education, housing, and wellness.
“Launching the Pete and Thomas Foundation is easily one of the most significant endeavors that I’ll ever be part of in my career,” said the “Realer” emcee. “My family raised me to help others and give back, so I’m incredibly proud to be in a position to accomplish that goal. I have a responsibility to use my platform to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who may not have access to resources and support services.”
Her foundation is not the only place where her philanthropic efforts end and begin. In June 2021, Meg donated over $8,000 to help cover a fan’s funeral costs after learning of her passing on Twitter, according to USATODAY.
“Meg we lost a hottie our best friend passed away unexpectedly. They absolutely loved you, listening to ur songs was something we did every time we were together. We’re helping their family w funeral costs. We started a gofundme & are halfway there,” @selenachichis tweeted.
