Naomi Campbell Sports Full Hazmat Suit & NBA Suspended Games Indefinitely As Coronavirus Pandemic Spreads

Naomi Campbell has never been one to take being germ-free lightly. The supermodel took to Instagram to share how she takes safety to the “next level” in the midst of the coronavirus uproar.

Sporting safety goggles, pink gloves, a blue face mask, and a white hazmat suit, our good sis is not taking any chances as a frequent traveler with the virus ongoing. Campbell is taking advantage of the decreasing airfare that has a lot of people ready to risk it all to see the world.

Cleanliness is nothing new to Campbell after she went viral last year for posting her pre-flight disinfecting routine on YouTube. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has announced that COVID-19 is “highly contagious,” so the supermodel was just ahead of her time when it comes to traveling in style with cleaning materials at hand.

Just last night, the NBA suspended its season “until further notice” after Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus. The NBA made the call just hours after the league’s owners were considering moving forward without fans in arenas.

News also broke late Wednesday night that actor Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson,  have also tested positive for the virus- again sending social media in a frenzy.

Here’s what we know so far as the coronavirus pandemic spreads throughout the U.S.

  • The World Health Organization has declared the global spread of the virus a pandemic
  • Vice President Mike Pence announced Thursday that thousands of more coronavirus cases are expected in the United States.
  • At least 8 US states have declared a state of emergency. With more than 550 cases in the US, states are taking precautions to prevent the virus from further spreading.
  • Universities including Howard & Harvard are moving to online classes and even shutting down to prevent spreading.
  • The U.S. has placed travel restrictions on most of Europe and any Americans returning from Europe have been advised to self-quarantine for 14 days.

If you plan on traveling and taking advantage of this ridiculously low air-fare, check out Naomi Campbell’s disinfecting routine below.
