After his tenure at Death Row Records, under the leadership of Suge Knight, Snoop Dogg says,

“ I was gon’ put out a record called ‘FXck Death Row’ and Mack 10, he was gon’ give me a million dollars to put it out.”

The West Coast rapper recalls a meeting with Master P where he told him, “man, you ain’t gon’ live to see that album come out. Don’t do that. You can’t make no record talking about Death Row and Suge Knight, you gotta let that sh*t go man.”

This moment led to an offer from Master P where he flew Snoop from Los Angeles to New Orleans, purchased him a house, and gave him enough money to bring his wife and children with him.

Master P told Snoop, “if you want to sign with me, you gotta come down to New Orleans. You can’t be out here. You and your whole family gotta come down here.”

In a post on IG, Snoop thanks Master P and pays homage to the entire No Limit family just in time for the docu-series which details Master P’s life from humble beginnings in NOLA to how he created the No Limit franchise and became a multi-millionaire.
