“Willow Made Me Do It” Jada Pinkett Smith Sports A Shaved Head Inspired By Her Daughter

Jada Pinkett Smith has a new look!

The “Girls Trip” actress revealed a freshly shaved head on Monday (July 12) and her daughter, Willow, is the inspiration behind the new ‘do.

“Willow made me do it because it was time to let go BUT…my 50’s are about to be Divinely lit with this shed,” Pinkett Smith wrote in an Instagram post.

Willow showed love to her mother with a post of her own.

“A gift is pure when it is given from the heart to the right person at the right time and at the right place, and when we expect nothing in return,” said the 20-year-old via Instagram.

She also chimed in on her mother’s page with a comment that read, “You are DIVINE.”

In the past, Pinkett Smith has opened up about her hair loss struggles on the hit Facebook series, “Red Table Talk,” alongside hosts Willow and her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, affectionately known as “Gammy.”

“It was terrifying when it first started,” she said in an episode back in 2018. “I was in the shower one day and then just handfuls of hair just [fell] in my hands… It was one of those times in my life that I was literally shaking with fear.”

For Pinkett Smith, hair has always been a “big part of [her].”

“Taking care of my hair has been a beautiful ritual,” she continued. The “Jason’s Lyric” actress also shared that it was during this time that she began to experiment with different looks like shorter ‘dos and sporting turbans.

Her daughter Willow has always been known for bold styles and even shaved her head during a performance art installation back in 2020.
