Baylor University’s Darianna Littlepage-Buggs Is On Defense—From The Paint To The Partnership With Raid
Women athletes continue to dominate, especially during March Madness!
For Baylor University standout Darianna Littlepage-Buggs, March can be extremely intense when it comes to basketball and the pressure of not dismantling brackets made by friends, family, and fans alike. Still, she is looking forward to returning to the court stronger than ever following a short hiatus.
March Madness is here.
“I can’t wait to show the impact I make on the court on offense and defense,” said Littlepage-Buggs in an email interview with aspireTV. “I’ve been away from the court for the past month, but I’m hoping to come back strong and help my team in every way I can. March can be an intense time, but staying close with my teammates and coaches really helps.

Partnering to Raid in her largest NIL deal to date.
As one of the many female athletes who are continuing to break barriers and secure major brand deals thanks to changes around name, image, and likeness (NIL) within collegiate sports, Littlepage-Buggs has just landed her biggest NIL deal to date thanks to a new partnership with Raid.
“NIL has created so many new opportunities for female athletes, and it’s exciting to be a part of that,” she said. “For me, it’s about showing young athletes how they can be successful both on and off the court through work ethic, discipline, and following your ambition.”
After launching its first NIL campaign last season, Raid has reunited Baylor basketball standouts Littlepage-Buggs and Jeremy Roach with a hilarious new video, playing off their names, and connecting their elite defense on the court to the work that Raid® Ant & Roach Killer does with protecting against ants, bugs, and roaches for 13 weeks.
“When Raid approached me and connected their brand to my last name, I thought it was the perfect partnership for me. This has been such a cool opportunity, and it’s made me appreciate it even more,” said Littlepage-Buggs. “Working with Jeremy has been awesome, especially now that we’re both at Baylor.”
Much like the Raid product defends against bugs, one of the many things that makes the Baylor Bears women’s basketball star standout from the rest is her approach to defense.
“Just like Raid, it’s my job to make sure the perimeter is always defended. It’s all about staying dedicated and making sure nothing gets past you,” she said. “Our success comes from our great defense, which stays great when everyone is doing their job and that’s what I try to do.”
Advice for the next generation of female athletes.
As she continues in her journey, Littlepage-Buggs offered a word of advice for the young women and girls who may be inspired to carve out a similar path in sports – never give up on yourself.
“I would tell them to continue believing in themselves,” said Littlepage-Buggs. “And not to let anybody tell them you can’t do something. Hard work and dedication are key to getting you where you want to be.”
